ON 22 Report of Suspicious Man Leads to Crack Cocaine, Ecstasy

On Saturday, April 18, at approximately 8:20 pm, a witness reported seeing a man duck between two vehicles in the parking lot of the Hunterdon Auto Resource Center on Route 22 West. Patrolman Michael Akers and Officer Jennifer Petruzziello responded and soon Ptl. Petruzziello located two (2) men, Ulysses Moye, age 32, of Harrisburg, PA and Presley Duncan, age 26, of Bronx, NY, who advised that their vehicle was towed to the dealership after it broke down. Ptl. Akers noted that the men were extremely nervous and he soon observed a partially-smoked marijuana cigarette inside of the vehicle, a 2006 Chrysler sedan, as well as a bag containing marijuana residue on the ground next to the vehicle. Mr. Moye was therefore charged with Possession of Under 50 Grams of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Operating a Motor Vehicle While In Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. He was released ROR and Mr. Duncan was released without charges. The vehicle was held for further investigation, including the use of a drug-sniffing K-9 from the Readington Township Police Department. The subsequent investigation revealed an ounce (28 grams) of MDMA (also known as Ecstasy or “Molly”), thirteen (13) grams of crack cocaine, and approximately six (6) grams of marijuana. As a result, Ptl. Akers charged both men with Possession of Ecstasy with Intent to Distribute and Possession of Crack Cocaine with Intent to Distribute. Mr. Duncan has additionally been charged with Possession of Under 50 Grams of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. They have not yet been arrested for the additional charges. The Hunterdon County Narcotics Task Force assisted.
