Joan T. Schaming, 69, of Clinton Twp., NJ passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at home.

She was born on October 26, 1946 in Brooklyn, NY. Over the years she lived in Staten Island and Readington Twp., NJ before moving to Clinton Twp., NJ 22 years ago.

She was the daughter of the late Stanley and Loretta Prybys.

Joan was the wife of Ronald Williams, celebrating 20 years of marriage.

She was a graduate of St. Brendan’s High School in Brooklyn, NY.  She also earned her Associates Degree from Raritan Valley Community College.

Joan retired from working for AT&T in Basking Ridge several years ago.  Currently she and her husband owned Balic of Clinton, a unique wine & gift boutique located on Main Street in Clinton, NJ.

Joan was very active in her community.  She was a member of the Clinton Guild, she helped organize ‘Doing Clinton’ and she was President of Clinton Township Republican Club.  Recently she was elected to Hunterdon County Republican Committee.

Survivors in addition to her loving husband include 2 sons, Robert Schaming and his wife Jennifer of Forks Twp., PA and Jeffrey Schaming of Holland Twp., NJ.  4 grandchildren, including Courtney Schaming and Ryan Schaming.  A sister, Linda Pakulniewicz and her husband Edward.

Predeceased by her sister, Elaine Shields, who passed away in 2014.

Calling hours will be Monday, June 20, 2016 from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ.  Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 10am at Immaculate Conception Church, 316 Old Allerton Road, Annandale, NJ.  Interment at Mountain View Cemetery in Cokesbury, NJ.
