Oxycodone and a straw – not a good driving combo


@ approximately 7:57 AM – Police arrested Brian J. Callahan, age 52 of Philadelphia, PA and charged him with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (Oxycodone) and possession of drug paraphernalia (straw) following a motor vehicle stop on Mine Street. Callahan was a passenger in a vehicle that was initially stopped for failure to stop at the intersection of Dayton Road and Sergeantsville Road.

During the stop, Callahan was found to have an active warrant for his arrest issued out of Harrison Township Municipal Court ($1,000.00 Bail). Harrison elected to release Callahan on his own recognizance (ROR) with a new court date. Callahan was also issued a motor vehicle summons for an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle.


The driver of the vehicle, John J. Jedrzej, age 38 of Philadelphia, PA was found to have two active warrants for his arrest issued out of North Wildwood and Glassboro Municipal Courts ($420.00 total bail). Jedrzej was able to post bail on those warrants. He was issued a motor vehicle summons for driving while suspended. Both were released after processing at police headquarters.
