HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, NJ – Paul R. Kuphal, 86, of Holland Township, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Brakeley Park Center in Lopatcong Township, NJ.

Born January 3, 1930 in Jersey City, NJ, Paul lived in Upper Black Eddy, PA before moving to Holland Township, NJ in 1960. He graduated from Nockamixon High School. Paul served in the US Navy and was a veteran of the Korean War. He worked for Riegel Paper Corp. for many years, before retiring in 1989. Paul coached baseball at Riegel Ridge in Holland Township for over 35 years and was an avid Yankees fan. He was the longtime caretaker of the Holland Cemetery. Paul was an active member of the Holland Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder.

Son of the late Alfred and Cora (Troy) Kuphal, Paul is survived by his sons Paul R, Kuphal, Jr. of Cherry Hill, NJ, Gary Kuphal of Phillipsburg, NJ, and Jeffrey Kuphal of Flemington, NJ, his daughter Valerie K. Lally of Mt. Tabor, NJ, his eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Dolores M. (Gross) Kuphal, his son Shawn Kuphal, and his brother Edward Kuphal.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 11 AM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ. Visitation will also be held on Saturday from 10-11 AM prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the Nockamixon Cemetery.
