The Red Mill Museum is pleased to announce the winners of the People’s Choice awards for this year’s Festival of Trees!  The eighth annual Festival of Trees is a community event to benefit the Red Mill Museum Village.  This year was a great success!  Almost 1,200 people visited the museum and over $7000 raised!  Trees, wreaths and centerpieces were on view through Sunday, December 10, and visitors were encouraged to vote for their favorites.  A favorite was chosen in each category.

People’s Choice Winners:
Tree: Hunterdon County Division of Parks and Recreation, “A Walk in the Park” decorated by Laura Kroon Bush and Liz Braidwood Fulmer
Wreath: The Altered Sisterhood, “Halo”, decorated by art group members: Carol Beder, Donna Lish, Nancy Albin, Roberta Rose, Karen Gruss, Jennifer Smith
Centerpiece:  “Flower Cart”, decorated by Lucille Rhode

Peoples’ Choice winner for favorite wreath was donated by the art group Altered Sisterhood, who has participated in this event for the past seven years.  The decorators are Carol Beder, Donna Lish, Nancy Albin, Roberta Rose, Karen Gruss, and Jennifer Smith.
Lucille Rhode was busy making a total of seven entries this year!  Here she is posing with a favorite centerpiece “Penguin Fun”, but her “Flower Cart” entry (below) won the most votes in the Peoples’ choice winner for favorite centerpiece.
