The annual Clinton Sunrise Rotary Fishing Derby will be held on Saturday, 4/25, rain or shine. DeMott Pond will be stocked with fish for this free family event, and bait, bobbers and hooks will be supplied; just bring your own pole. The derby is open to ages 4 – 16 and each participant will receive a raffle ticket for door prize drawings.
Registration will be 8-9 a.m. and fishing 9 a.m.-noon. The pond is on Route 173 in Clinton, across the street and one block west of the Holiday Inn.
The Derby has been a long standing tradition in Clinton and has always been a positive experience for the youth of our community. It truly is an example of small town America at its best. The event is sponsored by the Clinton Sunrise Rotary Club. Additional sponsors include The Town of Clinton, Clinton Police, PBA #188 and local businesses and organizations such as the David Gansfuss Agency, Hunterdon County YMCA, Rita’s Ice and Shenberger Insurance Services.
