To make necessary repairs to the main sewer line on Halstead Street (Near Water Street and commencing South to Lower Center Street), the sewer connections in your neighborhood will be televised, grouted, and cleaned with a Grouting Rig, TV truck and JetVac truck.  The second phase of this is scheduled to commence on Monday, January 16, 2017 from 10PM to 6AM.   During the course of this work there may be a temporary disruption of sewer service to your residence or business. However, bypass pumps will be in place to minimize any disruption in service.  Subsequent to this, lining of the sewer mains will begin, to which you will be notified again in advance with associated work details and dates/times.

Our field crew will notify you when the work is being conducted. In event that this work takes place when you are not home, if you do not see our crews on your street it is safe to use your facilities. If you have any questions or concerns during the course of our work, please do not hesitate to ask for the Site Supervisor or Crew Foreman on location or call the contractor’s 24-Hour emergency number at 732-815-0220.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
To avoid the possibility of flows backing up into your property during this period, please limit all liquids from going down your drains, such as sinks, toilets and showers when possible.  DO NOT use washing machines or dishwashers during this time.  While not anticipated, please report any back-up issues to the Site Supervisor.
During certain phases of the operation, you may detect an odor. Odors are most likely in buildings with dry or non-existent traps. In most cases, pouring one or two gallons of water down sinks and opening your windows can minimize any odors.
If you have a sump pump that discharges into sewer, it must be disconnected during our installation process.
We may need to request access to your basement and/or bathroom if problems arise.
Thank you very much for your help and cooperation!  If you have additional questions or concerns, you can contact the Town of Clinton Waste Water Treatment Plant at 908-735-8383.
