On Saturday, March 12, at approximately 9:20 pm, Clinton Township Police received a third-party report that a thirty-four (34) year-old Haskell man made threats against his girlfriend, a thirty-four (34) year-old Clinton Township woman. Upon arrival at the woman’s residence, officers observed the man to be under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance. They also observed blood dripping from the man’s arm and numerous hypodermic syringes and heroin bags inside of the residence. Officers also learned that a final restraining order was in effect between the two. The man was arrested and charged with domestic violencerelated Contempt, Possession of Heroin, Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe, Being Under the Influence of Heroin, and Defiant Trespass. He was taken to the Hunterdon Medical Center after claiming to have had a diabetic episode and then transported to the Hunterdon County Jail in default of $10,000 bail.
