Heroin/Hypodermic Syringe On Thursday, June 16, at approximately 5:05 pm, an officer stopped a 1998 Volkswagon Gulf driven by Geoff Heafy, age 27, of Oxford, on Route 31 near Route 513 for equipment violations. During the stop, Mr. Heafy was observed to be nervous and under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance. An investigation revealed that Mr. Heafy was in possession of several bags containing heroin residue and two hypodermic syringes. He was arrested and charged with Possession of Heroin, Possession of Hypodermic Syringes, Operating a Motor Vehicle While In Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Maintenance of Exhaust, Maintenance of Lamps, No Front Plate, and Obstructed View. He was released ROR.
