Possession of Morphine/Driving While Intoxicated

On Friday, April 3, at approximately 10:55 pm, Patrolman Joseph SanGiovanni stopped a 1999 Honda Accord operated by Marisa Fahy, age 20, of Alpha on Route 31 near Route 513 for multiple motor vehicle violations. During the stop, Ptl. SanGiovanni detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage on Ms. Fahy’s breath and soon discovered her to be in possession of marijuana, a glass pipe, a grinder, and a morphine pill. Ms. Fahy was arrested and soon provided samples of her breath for chemical testing to determine the content of alcohol in her blood. Ptl. SanGiovanni charged Ms. Fahy with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of Under 50 Grams of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving While Intoxicated, Operating a Motor Vehicle While In Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Reckless Driving, and Failure to Maintain Lane. She was released to the custody of a responsible adult and her vehicle was towed and impounded.
