Quakertown Firefighter Awarded Top EMS First-Responder in NJ for 2017

On November 11th, Quakertown Fire Company Firefighter/Emergency Medical Responder Dagon Emerson was awarded the NJ EMS First Responder of the Year Award at the Annual NJ EMS Awards in Atlantic City. FF/EMR Emerson, a Franklin Twp resident, was chosen from nominees from events that occurred across the state during the last year.

The award was presented to FF/EMR Emerson based upon his actions at a tragic motor vehicle accident on June 30th in Franklin Twp on Pittstown Road. FF/EMR Emerson was a few cars behind the accident and took immediate action to help remove a trapped occupant and use his patient care skills.

This is the first Statewide EMS Award ever presented to a Quakertown Fire Company volunteer.

The Quakertown Fire Company, established in 1951, is located in Franklin Twp, Hunterdon County and provides fire, rescue and Emergency Medical Services to all of Franklin Twp, and portions of Alexandria and Union Twps.
