Red Mill Museum Village Opens Festival of Trees on Friday



The Red Mill Museum Village’s annual Festival of Trees fundraiser starting on November 27th and running through December 6th. The Festival of Trees consists of a silent auction of donated and decorated trees, wreaths, and centerpieces. Proceeds of the silent auction will benefit the Red Mill Museum Village and its contining mission to preseve and educate about the agricultural and industrial history of Hunterdon County. This year’s Festival of Trees has been generously supported by Provident Bank and Om Clinton.

“We’ve got a great selection of donated items this year,” said Tim Betz, Curator of Public Programs at the Red Mill Museum Village. “I think people will have a lot of fun looking at our display this year.”

The Festival of Trees opens the same weekend as Clinton’s famous Dicken’s Days, an annual celebration which turns downtown Clinton into a scenic Dickensian holiday destination.

The Festival of Trees will be open during regular museum hours. Friday, November 27th and Saturday, November 28ththe Red Mill Museum Village will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. On Sunday November 29, the Museum will be open from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. The Museum is closed on Monday and will reopen from Tuesday, December 1 through Thursday, December 3rd from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Hours will again be expanded on Friday, December 4th and Saturday, December 5thfrom 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Festival of Trees will conclude on Sunday, December 6th, when it will be open from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., with silent auction bidding ending at 4:30 p.m. The cost of admission for the Festival of Trees is $5 for anyone over the age of 6. Museum Members and children under 6 years of age are free.
