The Red Mill Museum Village in Clinton, NJ will be hosting its annual Haunted Village fundraiser this month, on the Fridays and Saturdays, October 14, 15, 21, 22, and 28, 29. The Haunted Village is terrifying ten acre adventure with many frights to be found. 2016 is its 26th year.
The Haunt occurs because of volunteer help—and volunteers are needed! Interested in scaring people? Emailnjhauntedmill@gmail.com to sign up!
This year’s Haunted Village theme is Grim Fairy Tales—come be terrified by scary tales from your childhood at this year’s Haunt! Guests will experience mazes, a hay ride, and the terrifyingly disorienting Vortex. Tickets are available online at www.theredmill.org or each night of the Haunt starting at 5 p.m. and are on sale until 10 p.m. Tickets are $30 for regular admission and $45 for Express Pass, which allows holders to skip the line and go right in! The attraction opens at nightfall. Guests should note that the Haunted Village includes actors as well as special effects, and is not recommended for small children, pregnant women, or anyone susceptible to strobe lights or fog.
Back by popular demand, we’re also going to be hosting our Happy Hauntings on Saturday, October 22 and Saturday, October 29 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Happy Hauntings is a lights-on, startle free version of the Haunt! While Happy Hauntings created with children in mind, parental discretion is advised as there are still scary sights. Tickets for Happy Hauntings are $10 and are available at the door on both days.
Proceeds from both the Haunted Village and Happy Hauntings benefit the Red Mill Museum Village, a private, non-profit history museum which preserves and presents the agricultural and industrial history of Hunterdon County and the surrounding areas.
