RESISTING ARREST AND THEFT IN FRANKLIN TWP

The Grand Jurors of the State of New Jersey, for the County of Hunterdon, upon their oaths present that Kiet M. Tran, on or about November 15, 2015, in the Township of Franklin, in the County of Hunterdon, and within the jurisdiction of this Court, did, by flight, purposely prevent or attempt to prevent Officer Dominick Zeveney, of the Franklin Township Police Department, a law enforcement officer, from effecting an arrest, contrary to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 2C: 29-2a(2), and against the peace of this State, the Government and dignity of the same.

 

The Grand Jurors of the State of New Jersey, for the County of Hunterdon, upon their oaths further present that Kiet M. Tran, on or about November 15, 2015, in the Township of Franklin, in the County of Hunterdon, and within the jurisdiction of this Court, purposely did obstruct the detection or investigation of a crime, by means of flight, intimidation, force, violence or physical interference or obstacle or by means of any independently unlawful act, contrary to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 2C:29-1b, and against the peace of this State, the Government and dignity of the same.

 

The Grand Jurors of the State of New Jersey, for the County of Hunterdon, upon their oaths further present that Kiet M. Tran, on about or between September 1, 2015 and September 20, 2015, in the Township of Franklin, in the County of Hunterdon, and within the jurisdiction of this Court, did purposely obtain property of Walmart, by creating a false impression, specifically by obtaining discarded receipts then matching merchandise to obtain a cash refund, in an amount greater than $200.00 but less than $500.00, contrary to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 2C:20-4a, and against the peace of this State, the Government and dignity of the same

 

The Grand Jurors of the State of New Jersey, for the County of Hunterdon, upon their oaths further present that Kiet M. Tran, on or about November 15, 2015, in the Township of Franklin, in the County of Hunterdon, and within the jurisdiction of this Court, with purpose to hinder his own apprehension, prosecution, conviction or punishment, did give false information to a law enforcement officer, contrary to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 2C:29-3b(4), and against the peace of this State, the Government and dignity of the same.
