RHSO Pays it Forward with a donation to Hunterdon Medical Center

On Sunday, April 24, the nonprofit organization Remembering Henry Scott Oldenburg (RHSO) donated nearly 100 stuffed puppies to Hunterdon Medical Center. The puppies will be handed out to children in the Emergency Department and on the Pediatrics unit and to seniors admitted to the hospital. The puppies are part of RHSO’s project Hug-A-Bear, which aims to deliver the puppies to hospitals all around the state. The cause is one of many RHSO supports in order to “pay it forward.” Scott, while he was being treated for pancreatic cancer at Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center, noticed the many items that were generously donated to patients and the caring volunteers that sat with him through treatments. His wish was to do something similar and “pay it forward.” RHSO was founded in 2008 in honor of Scott, a lieutenant with Readington Township police, father, husband, son, uncle and friend who passed away the previous year from pancreatic cancer.
