Richard J. “Rich” Kloss, 38,

Neshanic Station, NJ—Richard J. “Rich” Kloss, 38, entered eternal life on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ, surrounded by his loving family.  Born in New Brunswick, NJ, he was the son of Lawrence M. Kloss and his late mother Sharon M (Sudol) Kloss who predeceased him in 2015.   He was a lifelong resident of Neshanic Station.

Rich graduated from Somerville High School Class of 1996 and then earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Villanova University Class of 2000.  While at Villanova he was a sportscaster for their radio station WXVU and play by play announcer for the Wildcats basketball & football teams.  He then went on to earn a Master’s in Business Administration from Lehigh University Class of 2012.  Rich was also a Certified Public Accountant.  He began his career at Price Waterhouse Coopers as a Senior Associate for six years in their Florham Park, NJ offices, where he was also a member of the PWC sports practice (NBA).  For the past ten years he has been an associate director of royalty accounting with Merck in Whitehouse Station, NJ.  Some of his passions in life included the New York Mets, New York Jets, hosting Super Bowl parties, Pumpkin and Star Wars.  Always known as “MrStats” Rich enjoyed taking family trips to Disney World/Disney Land and especially enjoyed skee ball in Wildwood.  He was an acolyte and lifetime member of Ss. Gregory Palamas Orthodox Church in Glen Gardner, NJ.  As a final act of his love & generosity to all he gave the gift of life in memory of his mother as an organ & tissue donor through the NJ Sharing Network.

Besides his mother, Rich was predeceased by an infant brother, David; and his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Besides his loving father, Rich leaves behind his dear brother, Scott Kloss and his wife Cath of Lawrenceville, NJ and a cherished Godson and nephew, Brandon.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Sunday, March 5 from 2:30-4:30 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. with the Panikhida service at 7:30 p.m. officiated by Fr. Dan.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 6 at Ss. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, 605 Washington Ave, Manville, NJ 08835 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. George officiating followed by committal words and interment at Ss. Peter & Paul Orthodox Cemetery in Hillsborough, NJ.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Rich’s memory be made to American Syringomyelia & Chiari Alliance Research Project, PO Box 1586, Longview, Texas 75606 (Info@ASAP.org) or Ss.
