Robert “Bob” Charles Fleck
HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, NJ – Robert “Bob” Charles Fleck, 86, of Holland Township, NJ, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2017 at the Country Arch Care Center in Pittstown, NJ.
Bob was born January 25, 1931 in Little York, NJ. He graduated from Frenchtown High School in 1949. Bob worked at Riegel Paper Corporation in Milford, NJ for almost 45 years- retiring in 1995. He also worked on his father-in-law’s, Cyrus Pinkerton’s, farm for 37 years, starting at the age of 10. Bob served in the US Army Engineers in the Korean War. Bob enjoyed working around his home, which he built, as well as spending time with his family.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Eleanor (Pinkerton) Fleck; his three children, Dennis Fleck of Little York, NJ, Jerry Fleck of Schnecksville, PA, and Kathleen (Fleck) Blikle of Harrisburg, PA; his two grandsons Jonathan and Tyler Blikle of Harrisburg, PA; his sister Betty Fleck of Brooklyn, NY; and his brother Richard Fleck of Milford, NJ. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Laberta Fleck.
A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017 at 7 PM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ, officiated by Pastor Nick Hatch. Visitation will also be held Monday evening from 6-7 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
