Robert Kenneth Van Horn 91

W. Amwell Twp.: Robert Kenneth Van Horn, born January 12, 1926 passed away Friday Evening, February 10, 2017. Robert, known to everyone as Bob, was a lifelong resident of Lambertville. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War as a Military Police Officer. He was active in the community belonging to the Lambertville Elks Lodge (Lifetime Member), the Lambertville Fleetwing Fire Company, the Masonic Lodge No.12, the Shriners and Knights Templar. Bob retired from General Motors in Ewing Twp., after many years of employment. He spent 30 years as a school bus driver for South Hunterdon Regional High School. He was a beloved husband, father, step-father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents Mildred and Earl Van Horn, his wife Doris Van Horn, and his brother Claude Van Horn. He is survived by his daughters Debbie Bright and Karen Minschwaner along with his loving wife Gloria Lewis Van Horn and stepchildren, Diane Lewis, Scott Lewis and Debra Miller. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Bob enjoyed the Jersey Shore, bird watching, and crossword puzzles. Funeral services will be held Thursday February 16, 11:00 am at the Garefino Funeral Home, 12 N. Franklin St., Lambertville. A masonic service will be held at 10:45 am at the funeral home.   Military Honors and burial will take place at the Holcombe-Riverview Cemetery, Delaware Twp. Calling hours will be Thursday from 9-11:00 am at the funeral home.
