ROSELLE SAVINGS BANK’S DONATION TO SAFE+SOUND SOMERSET AIMED AT ENDING DOMESTIC ABUSE ONCE AND FOR ALL SAFE+SOUND SOMERSET AIMED AT ENDING DOMESTIC ABUSE ONCE AND FOR ALL.

Roselle Savings Bank, headquartered in Roselle, New Jersey, has made a donation to Safe+Sound Somerset, the only non-profit organization in Somerset County dedicated exclusively to serving those whose lives have been impacted by domestic abuse. Founded in 1978, Safe+Sound Somerset aims to empower survivors of domestic abuse and engage the community to break the cycle of violence.

 

According to Safe+Sound Somerset Development Director Veronica Finlay, “The donations we receive from firms like Roselle Savings Bank allow us to forge ahead with new initiatives, programs, and activities to better serve our courageous clients. Roselle Savings bank has been supporting us for 17 years, empowering victims on their journey towards a life filled with hope and happiness — one where they can proudly proclaim, ‘I am a survivor’.”

 

The programs at Safe+Sound Somerset include, but are not limited to, the Safe House, Transitional Housing, counseling services, a teen awareness program called “Speak” and a 24/7 call or text hotline: 866-685-1122.

 

Roselle Savings Bank’s President and CEO Detlef Felschow also commented, “When I hear the uplifting stories about survivors of domestic abuse, it’s a reminder of the important role Safe+Sound Somerset plays in the community, providing victims the opportunity to overcome their challenges regardless of who they are and what they have endured.”
