Running a red with drugs in the car not so smart

On Tuesday, June 30, at approximately 3:45 pm, Patrolman David Formalarie was conducting a traffic enforcement detail at the traffic signal on Route 31 at Country Club Drive when he observed a 2013 Hyundai Sonata operated by Robert Conway, age 50, of Clinton Township, travel through a red light. Ptl. Formalarie stopped the vehicle near Mission Hills Drive and soon observed a cut straw containing white powder residue inside of the vehicle in plain view. A search of Mr. Conway’s vehicle produced marijuana. As a result, Ptl. Formalarie arrested Mr. Conway and charged him with Possession of Under 50 Grams of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Operating a Motor Vehicle While In Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Failure to Stop at Red Light, and Failure to Change Address on Driver’s License.
