Members of Raritan Valley Community College’s 2015-2016 men’s basketball team have been selected for postseason awards. Sophomore guard James Richardson of Jersey City was named National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division 2 Region 19 Player of the Year. Richardson led RVCC’s Golden Lions all season, and was top in the team in points scored with 20.6 per game and assists with 6 per game. Richardson also was named to the NJCAA Region 19 first team. Sophomore forward Bridson Rivera of Somerset and freshman guard Logan Santiago of Jersey City were named to the second Region 19 team. Rivera was second on the RVCC team in scoring, averaging 15 points per game, while Santiago was third with 14.6. Richardson and Santiago also were named to the all Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) team.
