RVCC to Hold Cosmetology Information Sessions

Learn more about Raritan Valley Community College’s fall 2016 Cosmetology programs at an upcoming information session. Cosmetology Information Sessions are scheduled for March 23 and April 20, both from 5:30-7 p.m. The sessions will be held at RVCC @ Bridgewater (14 Vogt Drive, Bldg. B, Room 209-211). The next daytime Cosmetology program will begin August 30 and the application process must be completed by June 30. In addition, learn more about our new Skin Care Specialist program beginning October 3. During the information session, prospective students will be able to view live hair demonstrations, meet the program director, participate in a question-and-answer segment, and even apply for the program. RVCC’s Cosmetology program features an accomplished teaching staff, innovative teaching methods, and opportunities for job shadowing and salon practicum. The program offers proactive job placement for graduates and other components critical to student success. Employment of hairdressers, hairstylists, and cosmetologists was projected to grow 13% from 2012-2022, according to information from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Financial Aid and industry scholarships are available to students who qualify. Students accepted into either program must attend a New Student Orientation scheduled for August 16 (for the Cosmetology course) and September 19 (for the Skin Care Specialist course).
