Raritan Valley Community College’s Student Nurses Association and students in the College’s Trends in Nursing class are partnering with the Hemophilia Association of New Jersey for the 4 th annual Hemophilia Bleeding Disorders Awareness Walk, Sunday, May 3, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at RVCC’s Branchburg Campus. The public is invited to participate in the walk, which will begin on the College’s Soccer Field. The walk will be held in commemoration of World Hemophilia Day, an international observance held annually on April 21 to raise awareness and funds for Hemophilia, Von Willebrand’s Disease and other bleeding disorders. The event will feature a one-mile family fun walk, free t-shirts, blood pressure screenings, information tables about bleeding disorders, refreshments, two bouncy houses, face painting, games for the kids, live music and more. Registration begins at 10 a.m. and the walk begins at 11. The registration fee is $20 for adults, $10 for teens or college students, and free of charge for kids five and younger.
