SHOPLIFTING WITH COKE AND HEROIN – not well thought out

@ approximately 3:17 PM – Police arrested Rodolfo A. Porras-Romero, age 28 of Somerville, NJ and Colin E. Harrison, age 23 of Manville, NJ and charged each with shoplifting from Kohl’s on Rt. 202.

Police were initially called to the store by a loss prevention employee who observed Porras-Romero and Harrison conceal store merchandise on their persons which they left the store without paying for. Porras-Romero was charged with shoplifting – value greater than $500.00 but less than $75,000.00.

He was additionally charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (cocaine and heroin) and possession of a hypodermic syringe. Harrison was charged with shoplifting – value greater than $500.00 but less than $75,000.00.

He was additionally charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (cocaine and heroin), possession of a hypodermic syringe and hindering his own apprehension. The store merchandise, identified as electronics, was recovered. Both subjects were found to have active warrants for their arrest issued out of other jurisdictions. They were both turned over to the Hunterdon County Sheriff’s Department, to be lodged in the Somerset County Jail, on the charges out of Raritan Township. Investigation and arrests by P.O.
