STOLEN CAR FOUND IN CLINTON

On Thursday, June 4, at approximately 1:10 am, Patrolman Peter Schlesier was checking a Center Street restaurant when he observed a 2005 Hyundai Elantra parked in the lot. Upon conducting a random check of the vehicle’s license plates, Ptl. Schlesier learned that the vehicle had been entered into the National Crime Information Computer (N.C.I.C.) as stolen by the Washington Township (Warren County) Police Department. Hunterdon County Communications confirmed with the Washington Township Police Department that the vehicle was still actively entered as stolen. The vehicle was towed to the Washington Township Police Department for processing
