@ approximately 7:50 PM – Police arrested Karl M. Bavos, age 29 of Manville, NJ and charged him with theft of moveable property (1999 Chevrolet pick-up truck valued at $500.00) following a motor vehicle stop on Reaville Road. Earlier on that same date, a township business owner reported that Bavos, a recently hired employee, was suspected of taking various business owned vehicles for his own personal use since he was hired. The business owner provided identifying information for the 1999 Chevrolet pick-up and advised that Bavos had taken that vehicle for his own use without consent. The vehicle was entered as stolen in N.C.I.C. Bavos was located driving the vehicle and was taken into custody. The vehicle was returned to the owner. Bavos was also issued motor vehicle summonses for unregistered vehicle and uninsured motorist. Bail on the theft charge was set at $5,000.00 with no 10% option. Bavos was turned over to the Hunterdon County Sheriff’s Office to await transport to be lodged in the Somerset County Jail. Initial investigation by P.O. Gary Galoppo and arrest by P.O.
