On Friday, May 8, at approximately 1:35 am, Patrolman Sean Ross was conducting a business check of the Courtside Racquet Club on Route 31 South when he observed a 2003 Ford Explorer turn its lights on and quickly leave the parking lot. Ptl. Ross followed the vehicle and stopped it on Route 31 at Route 618 to investigate the suspicious activity. During the stop, Ptl. Ross immediately detected the odor of marijuana and soon discovered a bag of it and a glass pipe with residue. As a result, he charged driver Audra Malcolm, age 20, of High Bridge, with Possession of Under 50 Grams of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Operating a Motor Vehicle While In Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. She was released ROR.
