TEEN GOES ON WALK ABOUT IN TEWKSBURY – police get the dogs out looking

Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III, Chief of Detectives John J. Kuczynski, and Tewksbury Township Police Chief Thomas Holmes announced that a missing 16 year old female returned home safely this morning without incident. According to Chief Holmes, “On Tuesday, May 27, 2015 at approximately 11:30PM, the Tewksbury Township Police Department was dispatched to the area of Parsonage Lot Road for a report of a 16 year old female who had gone for a walk into the woods and had not returned.” Prosecutor Kearns stated, “Tewksbury Police Officers along with K-9 units from the Readington Township Police Department and the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office started searching the heavily wooded area immediately. The New Jersey State Police Aviation Unit was also requested to assist with a helicopter. At approximately 6:00AM this morning, the teen returned home uninjured.” The Prosecutor added, “Any time a child might be lost or in danger in Hunterdon County, all available resources are utilized without hesitation to bring the situation to a positive conclusion. This case was no exception. Thankfully she returned safely.”
