The American Cancer Society is recruiting teams from businesses, schools, families, places of worship, and more to participate in the Relay For Life of Hunterdon County

which will be held June 13th at the Hunterdon Central Regional High School track. Relay For Life teams are committed to finishing the fight against cancer and raise funds to support the American Cancer Society’s lifesaving mission. Teams and individuals can sign up for the Relay for Life event by visiting www.relayforlife.org or calling 1-800-227-2345.

The Relay For Life program is a community-based event where teams and individuals set up campsites and take turns walking or running around a track. Each team has at least one participant on the track at all times. Cancer survivors and caregivers take a celebratory first lap to start each event. By participating in this movement you will have the opportunity to celebrate life, remember loved ones, and fight back. This year’s Relay For Life is very special because it is celebrating 30 years of Relay. The theme is Walking through History: Three Decades of Hope.

A big thank you to all of one of our very generous sponsors, Jersey Mike’s of Flemington, who has provided sandwiches for our Kick-Off Event and held many fundraisers in support of our teams!

Just a reminder that May is Skin Cancer Detection and Prevention Month! Thank you to all of those in the community that work to spread awareness of what everyone can do to prevent and detect skin cancer. Let this month encourage the fight against cancer and bring new hope to those battling this disease.
