The County of Hunterdon is seeking a new Division Head of Communications (911 Center) that will report directly to the Director of Public Safety. The Division Head of Communications will be charged with overseeing and directing staff at the 911 Center. The Division Head of Communications will assist in the development of management policies and standard operating procedures in coordination with the Director of Public Safety. The Division Head of Communications will ensure compliance with state and federal laws, regulations and reporting requirements. The Division Head will assist in the preparation of the annual budget, attend conferences as needed and coordinate and implement all elements of training at the 911 Center. The Division Head of Communications will also be tasked with interfacing with Hunterdon County First Responders to ensure seamless communication between the 911 Center and the various fire, police and EMS organizations throughout the County of Hunterdon. Applicants must have a strong background in emergency dispatching, at least five years of management experience and hold a Bachelor’s degree.
