The Hunterdon County Bar Association presented a seminar on May 2nd at Beaver Brook Country Club in Annandale, NJ entitled “Come Have A Seat At The Table: Celebrating Women in the Law”. The event, attended by over 100 professionals from throughout the state, featured Retired Supreme Court Justice Virginia A. Long as keynote speaker.
The program also included a distinguished panel moderated by Mary Ann Bauer, Esq. and Michelle M. Cesti, Esq., and composed of the following: the Honorable Ann R. Bartlett (Retired), the Honorable Harriet E. Derman (Retired), Diana N. Fredericks, Esq., Robyn B. Gigl, Esq., Cynthia M. Jacob, Esq., Jeralyn L. Lawrence, Esq., Rachel J. Nguyen, Esq., Melissa L. Turcios, Esq., Allison C. Williams, Esq., and Kimberly A. Yonta, Esq. The panel discussed topics such as camaraderie and mentorship, work/life balance, women and professionalism in the courtroom, as well as the glass ceiling. A special part of the program was the presentation of the Hunterdon County Trailblazer Award to the Honorable Marilyn Herr, retired Superior Court judge.
