Theresa Eloise (Yankovich) Troegner, 93,

Flemington, NJ- Theresa Eloise (Yankovich) Troegner, 93, entered into eternal life on Saturday, May 16, 2015 with loving family by her side. Born in Kuchina, Czechoslovakia, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Rupert) Yankovich.

Theresa came over to the United States with her family as a small child and they resided in Tarrytown, NY, later moving to upstate New York. The family lived in Elk Creek where she graduated high school in 1939. Upon graduation she then moved to Brooklyn, NY where she worked for the Pepsi-Cola Company. In 1943 she enlisted in the United States Navy and served in the WAVES at the Great Lakes Naval Base. Upon Theresa’s honorable discharge she resumed her position at the Pepsi-Cola Company and it is there that she met the” love of her life,” William Troegner with whom she shared matrimony on June 14, 1947. Theresa and William moved to Astoria Queens, NY and had three sons. They then moved to Flemington and soon after had their daughter. They bought a piece of property in Three Bridges, NJ that became home of the Sunshine Motel. They owned and operated this business until 1986. In 2005, soon after the passing of her husband, she settled in Flemington Fields where she resided. Theresa was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges and was a member of the American Legion Post 159. She loved playing cards, board games and crossword puzzles.

Besides her parents and husband, Theresa was predeceased by her siblings, Mary, Anna, Elizabeth, Michael, Joseph, Julia and John.

Theresa is survived by four loving children, Philip Troegner of Titusville, NJ, William Troegner and his wife Barbara of Honolulu, HI, Joseph Troegner and his wife Cynthia of Flemington, and Terry and her husband Ray Simonds of Flemington, NJ. She will be deeply missed by ten cherished grandchildren and seven precious great grandchildren; and many dear nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Wednesday, May 20 from 5-8 p.m. and on Thursday, May 21 from 9-10 a.m.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 21 beginning with military honors at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges. The disposition will be private.
