@ approximately 8:34 PM – Police arrested Adam Favereaux, age 30, of Flemington and Dani Linton, age 45, of Philadelphia, PA, and charged each with shoplifting from Walmart on Rt. 31. Police were initially called to the store parking lot for a report of a red SUV parked there with two males in the area of it, one of which was lying on the ground. Upon arrival, police located a red SUV parked in the lot and found it to be registered to Favereaux. No one was found to be around the vehicle when police arrived. However, a short time later police observed two males, matching the description of the initial report leave the store through the garden center entrance in a hurried manner. One of the males was pushing a shopping cart with a flat screen television box on top of it. The two males got into Favereaux’s vehicle with the television, but police approached and stopped them to investigate further before Favereaux could pull away. Further investigation revealed that the television was from the Walmart store and Favereaux and Linton could not provide proof of purchase. Favereaux was released after processing. Linton was found to have an active traffic warrant for his arrest ($500.00 bail issued out of Raritan Township Municipal Court). Bail was set at $1,000.00 with a 10% option on the shoplifting charge for Linton. He was released after posting bail. The television, a 55″ LG valued at $746.86 was returned to Walmart.
