THIS CHICK FLIPPED – DRUNK AT 5 A.M. Bites a cop and then spits on a few more
November 5, 2016
at approximately 5:25 am, an officer stopped a 2014 Jeep sedan operated by Sonia Padmore, age 31, of Flemington, on Route 31 South for failing to maintain lane and for failing to activate her vehicle’s headlamps. During the stop, the officer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage and soon determined that Ms. Padmore was intoxicated. As the officer attempted to handcuff Ms. Padmore, she began resisting and flailing her arms. She then bit the arresting officer on his right wrist and left hand. These actions were witnessed by an eleven (11) year-old juvenile who was in Ms. Padmore’s vehicle. At police headquarters, Ms. Padmore continued to be assaultive and also began spitting on the officers. She was ultimately charged with Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer, Resisting Arrest, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Throwing Bodily Fluids on a Law Enforcement Officer, Driving While Intoxicated, Driving Without Headlamps, Failure to Maintain Lane, and several other charges. She was ultimately transported to the Hunterdon County Jail in default of $15,000. Her vehicle was towed and the juvenile was turned over to a responsible adult.
