Thomas F. Lambert, age 92 years, lifelong resident of Delaware Township, NJ, died on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Delaware Township, NJ, August 20, 1923, he was the son of the late Frank and Marion Brewer Lambert.
Tom was a retired carpenter.
Mr. Lambert was a member of the Larison’s Corner Presbyterian Church, having served on the Session and as a Trustee; the Delaware Township Historical Society, the Beekeepers Association, former President of the Delaware Township School Board, and was a former Little League coach.
Tom was a founding member and former Chief (1955 -1958) of the Sergeantsville Volunteer Fire Company, which he helped to build.
His wife, Doris Everitt Lambert, died in 2003. Surviving are his sons Wesley (Susan) of St. Paris, OH, Terry (Sue Allen) of Delaware Township, NJ, and Jeff (Marlene) of Ringoes, NJ; a sister and brother-in-law, Alice and Roger Everitt of Ringoes, NJ; two grandchildren: Stacy and Seth; three step grandchildren; his great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Kay Lambert of Flemington, NJ; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 10 AM in the Larison’s Corner Presbyterian Church, Ringoes, NJ. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Ringoes, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 27, 2015 from 7-9 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
