Thomas P. Bruning
HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, NJ – Thomas P. Bruning, 57, of Holland Township, NJ, entered into eternal life on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at his home after a battle with brain cancer.
Born June 26, 1958 in Passaic, NJ, Tom graduated from Parsons School of Design in Manhattan with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Design. In 1983, he married his wife of 32 years, Barbara Kasiski of Sparta, NJ. After a lifetime of being a Master Carpenter and a long corporate career Tom worked at HJ Opdyke Lumber Co. in Frenchtown, NJ until his forced retirement due to illness. He was a devoted husband, amazing father, and loving son and brother. All were blessed to have shared this earth with Tom. One unforgettable love of Tom’s was the love of all music, so he leaves us with this quote from John Lennon, “Love is a promise, love is a souvenir, once given never forgotten, never let it disappear.”
Tom is survived by his beloved wife Barb, his son Paul, his daughter Mackenzie, his parents Jacob and Natalie (Pass) Bruning of Rockaway, NJ, and his brother Dan Bruning of Brigantine, NJ.
