Toby Dwight Lawson Jr., age 46, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 6th, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem, PA.
Toby was born November 16, 1970 in Rahway, NJ, to Toby Lawson Sr. and Maryann Ullman Lawson Binder. He was a graduate of Bridgewater West High School and proceeded to Lincoln Technical Institute where he became a certified auto mechanic. He worked as a mechanic and then went on to become a certified EMT where he worked for Blue Mountain EMS, and Nazareth EMS. He devoted his life to serving his community as a volunteer firefighter for the Three Bridges Volunteer Fire Company in New Jersey, the Wind Gap Volunteer Fire Company, and the Forks Township EMS in Pennsylvania.
Toby enjoyed hanging out with friends and tinkering on vehicles and loved spending time with his daughter, Emma, the most.
He is survived by his daughter, Emma Lawson, parents Maryann and Robert Binder, sisters Nancy (Julio) Carrasquillo, Rosemary Binder, Dyan (Walter) Cotier, and brother Robert (Teri) Binder, plus several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and great nieces. He is predeceased by his late father Toby Dwight Lawson Sr., his grandparents Robert and Novella Lawson, Anton and Dorothy Ullman and Robert and Rose Binder.
Funeral service officiated by the Rev. James DeVries and Last Call will be at 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 10, 2017, at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington NJ. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4:00 until the time of service at the funeral home.
A private interment at a later date will be held at Northampton Memorial Shrine.
