TRENTON MAN ARRESTED 1ST DEGREE AGGRAVATED SEXUAL ASSAULT IN LAMBERTVILLE

Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III, Chief of Detectives John J. Kuczynski,
and Lambertville City Police Director Bruce Cocuzza announced that a joint investigation
by the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit, Lambertville City Police
Department and the U.S. Marshal’s Service has led to the arrest of one individual.
Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Lambertville Police
began an investigation in 2016 into allegations of a sexual assault involving a child under
the age of 13. The incidents occurred over a course of time in 2013 in the City of
Lambertville. At the time, the whereabouts of the defendant were unknown; attempts to
locate him took course over a year.
On December 22, 2017, the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force located and took into
custody, Maximino Sanchez, age 36, of Trenton, NJ. Mr. Sanchez has been charged with 1st
degree Aggravated Sexual Assault, 2nd degree Sexual Assault, and 4th degree Lewdness. Mr.
Sanchez is currently being held in the Somerset County Jail.
