UNDERAGE DRINKING DRIVER BLOWS RED AT 8 a.m. and causes Crash – Assault by auto

@ approximately 8:20 AM – Police arrested Joseph A. Longo, age 20 of Lawrenceville, NJ and Markeise E. Bullock, age 19 of Princeton, NJ following a motor vehicle crash on Rt. 202/31.

Police were initially called to the intersection of Rt. 202/31 and Copper Hill Road for a two vehicle crash. Upon arrival, crash investigation revealed that Longo was driving west on Copper Hill Road in a 2017 Jeep Renegade. Longo failed to observe the red traffic signal at the intersection with Rt. 202/31.

Bullock was the front seat passenger in Longo’s vehicle. Longo’s vehicle entered the intersection and was struck by a 2005 Nissan sedan which was traveling north on Rt. 202/31. The Nissan was being driven by Nirseen R. Razzaq, age 21 of Philadelphia, PA. Razzaq reported non-lie threatening facial injuries. The Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad responded to evaluate all three persons involved in the crash.

All three were evaluated on scene and refused further medical assistance. Both vehicles were towed. Longo was charged with DUI, Assault by Auto, possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of an alcoholic beverage while under legal age.

He was also issued motor vehicle summonses for disregard of a traffic control device, reckless driving, failure to exhibit proof of insurance, open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. Bullock was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were released after processing at police headquarters, Longo to a family member.
