The Union Forge Heritage Association is hosting a year-long celebration in 2017 to commemorate the 275th Anniversary of the historic Union Iron Works and is proud to be the premier organization in Hunterdon County dedicated to preserving the lasting legacy of this important company. Founded in 1742, the Iron Works produced iron used for the manufacturing of domestic items, farm implements and most notably cannon balls for Washington’s army during the Revolutionary War.
