UNION TWP WOMAN INDICTED FOR FORGERY AND THEFT FROM UNION TOWNSHIP PTA

Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III, announced the indictment of Robin Patton, age 45, of Union Township. On February 23, 2017, Ms. Patton was indicted by a Hunterdon County Grand Jury for Forgery, Uttering a Forged Document and Theft by Deception, all 3rd degree crimes.

According to Prosecutor Kearns, “Ms. Patton was arrested by the New Jersey State Police Perryville Barracks on November 13, 2016, after an investigation revealed she committed forgery and theft by removing $18,200 from a Union Township PTA bank account. Ms. Patton was serving as the President of the PTA when the crimes occurred. An arraignment date will be scheduled by the court at a later date.”

Prosecutor Kearns added, “Anyone that violates the public trust must be held accountable.”

The filing of a criminal complaint is merely a step in the criminal justice process. The defendant is presumed innocent until the matter is resolved in a court of law.
