UNLICENSED GENTS STEAL UHAUL AND TRY TO RUN WHEN BUSTED

@ approximately 11:40 PM – Police arrested Cesar J. Lora and Luis Castellano-Guzman, both age 21 of Paterson, NJ and charged each with receiving stolen property, obstructing the administration of law and resisting arrest following a motor vehicle stop on Rt.31. Police initially stopped a U-Haul box truck, which was traveling south on Rt.31, after observing the rear rolling door completely open and items falling out of the cargo area.
Once stopped, the driver and passenger exited the box truck and ran from the area. Police then learned that the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Paterson, NJ. With the assistance of the New Jersey State Police Aviation Bureau, the Readington Township Police Department K-9 Unit and the Flemington Borough Police Department, both subjects were located after an extensive search and taken into custody. Lora was also issued motor vehicle summonses for loading as to spill and unlicensed driver. After processing, both subjects were turned over to the Hunterdon County Sheriff’s Office to be lodged in the Somerset County Jail. Investigation and arrests by P.O. Dustin Pflug.
