Wanda Szatynski, age 97 years, of Readington


Wanda Szatynski, age 97 years, of Readington Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, January 3, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Naklo, Poland, December 23, 1920, daughter of the late Stanislaw Wlodarski and Antonina Klecz Wlodarska, she had resided in the area since the 1960’s.

A farmer, she and her husband, Edward J. Szatynski, owned and operated the Szatynski Farm in Readington Township, NJ for many years. Edward died on July 17, 1983.

Wanda was a woman of extreme faith and she would want to be well remembered for this; she was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Whitehouse Station, NJ.

Wanda Szatynski was humble and hard-working, loving of God and her family. She will forever be remembered by all those whose lives she touched for the better.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Zygmunt and Mieczyslaw Wlodarski and a sister, Stanislawa Wlodarska.

Surviving are a brother and sister-in-law, Jan and Halina Wlodarski; a niece, Malgorzata Wlodarska; a nephew and his wife, Krzysztof and Zofia Wlodarski and their children, Marek, Monika, Michal and Magda.

A Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev. Leonard F. A. Rusay will take place on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 390 County Road 523, Whitehouse Station, NJ 08889, under the care and direction of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.

Burial next to her beloved Edward will follow at St. Magdalen Cemetery, North Main Street, Flemington, NJ.

Wanda will lie in repose at the funeral home on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. and on Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 8:00-8:30 a.m.
