WELL HERE’S A NEW ONE – WASTED STREET SWEEPER TAKES OUT MAILBOXES AND PASSES OUT BEHIND WHEEL

Monday, July 6, 2015 @ approximately 1:12 AM – Police arrested Emilio J. Rosado, age 32 of Trenton, NJ and charged him with driving under the influence of alcohol following contact with him on Old York Road. While on patrol, P.O. Margaret Hammond observed several mailboxes which had apparently been struck on Old York Road, near Rt. 202/31. Continuing further east on Old York Road, P.O. Hammond located a street sweeper parked partially in the roadway. The right rear tire of the sweeper was shredded and it was apparent the vehicle had been driving on the rim. P.O. Hammond had to wake up the driver, Rosado, who was asleep in the driver’s seat of the sweeper. Rosado subsequently failed to properly complete field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. He was issued an additional summons for reckless driving. The sweeper was towed and Rosado was released to a friend after processing. Investigation and arrest by P.O. Margaret Hammond.
