William ‘Billy’ Douglas Hamilton, age 72, of High Bridge, NJ passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the JFK Medical Center in Edison, NJ .
He was born on June 29, 1942 in Boston, MA. He had resided in High Bridge for the past 25 years, moving from Hillsborough, NJ.
He was the son of the late Frederick and Jane Roberts Hamilton.
He was the husband of Rosalia M. Hamilton, celebrating 34 years of marriage.
Billy was a US Army Serviceman, serving from 1960 to 1964.
He was a musician and composer, performing and recording internationally using the name
‘Billy D. Hunter’. He was a member of the American Federation of Musicians. He was also a Master Mason at Atlas Pythogoras Lodge #10 in Westfield, NJ.
Survivors in addition to his wife include 7 children; Margaret Lafko of Brimfield, MA, Jon Hamilton of MA, Jennifer Hoffay of Troy, NY, Louis Nemeth III of New Haven, CT, Laura Fog of Phoenix, AZ, Lawrence Nemeth of Southern CA and Skyler Rose Hamilton of High Bridge, NJ. 13 grandchildren. 2 sisters; Dorothy Heskey and Charlotte Hamilton.
Predeceased by 2 brothers; Steven Hamilton and Robert Hamilton.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Naughright-Scarponi Funeral Home, 66 Main Street, High Bridge, NJ. Interment to follow at Locust Grove Cemetery in Quakertown, NJ.
