at approximately 2:45 pm, Hunterdon County Communications notified Clinton Township officers to be on the lookout for a possible intoxicated driver who was traveling Route 31 South out of Lebanon Township. The calling party also advised that the suspected intoxicated driver was in possession of an opened container of an alcoholic beverage. An officer located the 2015 Honda Accord traveling Route 31 South and stopped it near Halstead Street after observing it failing to maintain lane. Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer observed driver Elizabeth Levaca, age 49, of Branchburg Township, attempting to hide a glass bottle containing vodka behind the passenger’s seat. The officer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage on Ms. Levaca’s breath and soon determined that she was intoxicated. Ms. Levaca was arrested and transported to police headquarters where she provided samples of her breath for chemical testing to determine the content of alcohol in her blood. She was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Failure to Maintain Lane. She was released to the custody of a responsible adult and her vehicle was towed and impounded
