@ approximately 10:49 PM – Police charged Gayle J. Schoepfer, age 52 of Neshanic Station, NJ with driving under the influence of alcohol and prescription medication following contact with her on Rt. 31. Police were initially called to the area for a third party report of a female who looked sick sitting outside of her vehicle. When police arrived, Schoepfer was already in an ambulance being treated by Emergency Medical Technicians from the Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad. Further investigation revealed that Schoepfer exhibited signs of being under the influence of alcohol and prescription medication. Her vehicle was towed and she was transported to Hunterdon Medical Center by the squad. Schoepfer was also issued a summons for reckless driving. Investigation and arrest by P.O. Brian Mayer.
