Yoga Loka, Hunterdon County’s premier yoga studio, will launch a series of weekly, donation-only yoga classes to benefit the Frenchtown Food Pantry, beginning Monday, June 27.
The class will run Mondays, 4:15-5:30 p.m., in Yoga Loka’s new studio at 7 Kingwood Ave., between Frenchtown Home and Hardware and Napoli’s Pizzeria. The class will be taught in rotation by 200-hour-certified Yoga Loka staff members and are open to all levels of participants.
Yoga Loka owner and head teacher Bonnie Pariser called the food pantry, located at the Frenchtown Presbyterian Church on Frenchtown’s Fourth Street, “a vital organization.”
“The food pantry has served local families and individuals for many years,” Pariser said. Yoga Loka frequently holds fundraiser events for the pantry, she said, including seven annual Thanksgiving Day yoga classes, which only has raised more than $3,000.
